The 10th Light Horse Bunbury Troop will be out in force at Sundays 2024 SWFL Grand Final at Hands Memorial Oval in Bunbury. The soon to be completed redevelopment features a spectacular artwork depicting a WW2 10th Light Horseman, and we’re bringing Troopers back to the same ground that the Regiment used as a training camp 83 years later.Percute et Percute Velociter
12 riders from the 10th Light Horse – Bunbury Troop will be at the SWFL grand final this Sunday!
The grounds at Hands Oval have a new stadium with a special art panel that is a tribute to the 10th Light Horse on the side. This is to honour the fact that our 10th Light Horse Regiment camped there during World War 2.
The new artwork etched into the steel is made from a photo that was taken of one of the troopers in 1941, which was published in the Western Mail Newspaper. The property was then known as the “showgrounds”. 
On Sunday, the troop will ride from the behind Queen’s Gardens, down Spencer Street for 3 km to Hands Oval, to stand under the stadium artwork.
